Aberdeenshire welcome Gerry Strydom, an experienced left-hand batsman and a proven coach with extensive experience of senior and youth coaching to the club as our overseas professional for the 2011 season.

Gerry currently plays for South West Districts in South Africa and he previously represented Boland, Western Province and Cape Cobras, scoring 4,500 runs @ 30 with 9 centuries and 2000 runs in one day matches.

He has been a regular visitor to the northern hemisphere playing 4 seasons in England and 2 in Ireland.
