Aberdeenshire are hosting a T20 fixture between Thorngrove Gardeners a former players select and an ACC Development Xl on Sunday 21st August in remembrance of Bruce Fenwick.

A naturally gifted and talented cricketer Bruce captained the Mannofield eleven in the Strathmore Union and served as the ground convener on the club management committee. The Bruce Fenwick trophy is presented annually to the best performing 18- to 23-year-old player.

Bruce ran his own gardening and landscaping business Thorngrove Gardening Services and named his evening league team the Thorngrove Gardeners where the emphasis was on the players enjoying playing cricket, Bruce was very popular with the young players at the club due to his enthusiasm and willingness to help them develop.
