Indika Yahathugoda wins Grade 1 Batting Prize

Personal success at Aberdeenshire Cricket Association Dinner

Congratulations to Indika Yahathugoda who on Friday evening picked up the Walker Cup (Grade 1 Batting award) at the Aberdeenshire Cricket Association Prize Giving annual dinner.

Indika had a successful season scoring 672 runs at an average of 48.00 including 2 centuries, one of which was a massive 170. During the season Indika also took a five for, including a Hat-Trick, against Bon-Accord showing off his all round ability and importance to the Grade 1 Mannofield side.

It was also good to see former juniors Leston D'Costa and Chad Abbott picking up awards at the event on Friday night. Leston picked up two awards the Cope Cup ( Grade 4 Batting) and the Abdul Hayee Cup (Under 18 Batting) with Chad winning the Jamila Akhtar Cup (Under 18 Bowling).
