Falkland were never able to build a meaningful partnership as Matt Surry was unable to find a partner to hang around with him long enough, finishing 62* as the hosts posted 127.
In reply, Venske and Howard got off to a fast start with Venske making most of the early running, racing to 41 out of the opening 50 added. Venske brought up his 6th fifty plus score of the season as he flayed the home attack to all parts.
The pair combined well for their third 100 partnership of the season and looked set to take the team home to a 10 wicket victory before Venske (76) was trapped infront to a ball which didn't get up.
Hayes van der Berg joined Howard (35*) and a couple of cover drives later the 9 wicket victory was sealed.
