Runs aplenty as Horne hammers hundred at Harlaw..

Mannofield were the away side despite the game being played at Harlaw.
Lahore Karahi won the toss and decided to bat first.

Mannofield got off to the best possible start when Michael found the outside edge and his Dad took the catch at slip from the first ball of the match.
The LK batsmen recovered from this early loss and were soon among the runs.
Lewis Munro and Ian Lumsden were brought into the attack with the hope of stemming the flow of runs, this they did with Lewis unlucky not to get a wicket to his name.
Lummy (2 - 32 off 8) bowled the spell of the match and should have had a wicket first ball when an edge went to the vacant slip area, Michael caught an excellent catch in the deep and the "home" side were 97 - 3 in the 16th over.
Runs continued to come at a rate of knots, Stuart Horne removed the dangerous Ali for 75 via a sharp catch at slip aided by an assist from Calum behind the stumps.
However this allowed K Imran to the crease who helped by a "few" dropped catches smashed his way to what looked like a certain Ton before Michael ran him out on 99 coming back for a second run.
Clark helped himself to a run out and a smart catch off Indy's bowling before the LK inning closed on 297 - 8.
Calum again kept well conceding just 3 byes in what was a difficult few hours in the field for Mannofield.

In reply Mannofield needed partnerships to put them in with a shout of chasing down such a big total.
However this was not to be as F Copeland (1) was out early, Indy (13) then ran himself out.
Lewis (22) and Clark (54) batted nicely until Lewis was unlucky to hit a long hop straight to a fielder (something that doesn't seem to be happening for Mannofield at present!).
The captain (6) then ran himself out and when Calum's (10) brief innings ended, any hope of reaching the maximum batting points total of 175 looked gone.
This was to change with the partnership between Stuart Horne and Clark as Mannofield passed 200 for the first time this season.
Stuart showed all his array of shots in making a magnificent 109 not out, Clark was happy to give Stuart the strike and watch while he flayed the ball to all ares of the ground.
Hitting in total 15 x 4's and 4 x 6's.
Clarke was eventually out for a well crafted 54.
It just goes to prove if one other batsman had been able to bat in a partnership with Clark what may have been.

It was a 3rd straight loss for the 3rd team who are struggling badly with availability issues but continue to scrap it out in all games to date.
