More Pokemon than LK players!

Mannofield moved off the bottom of Grade 1 and above today’s opponents with their win over Crescent and were looking to leap frog Gordonian’s with another win today.
Mannofield won the toss and asked Lahore Karahi to bat first on a very green wicket.
The game was delayed by 10 minutes to allow for some late arrivals from the batting side.
As it was LK could only muster 8 players which boosted the confidence of the home side.
Jay Bhalani who was making his long awaited debut for Mannofield opened the bowling with Michael Elliott.
The pair bowled beautifully and kept the scoring down to a minimum with only 14 runs coming from the first 10 over’s. Michael clean bowled the opener and picked up his second wicket via an excellent catch from Aaron.
However the dangerous Imran was now at the crease and was playing himself in, clearly settling in for a long innings.
By now the usual rain was falling and the ball was getting difficult to grip. Imran made the most of this by punishing any loose delivery and when the rain was deemed heavy enough to take the players off he had reached his half century.
An early tea was taken and the rain eventually let up to allow the players to return.
Nathan Elliott and Indy were brought into the attack and Nathan trapped Imran in front for 67.
The pair was bowling well in tandem and Indy picked up 2 further wickets. However some usefull hitting by the middle order helped LK reach 209 for 6 after 45 over’s.
It was a little disappointing not to restrict LK for less given the fact they only had 8 but confidence was still high as the teams had a quick turnaround between innings.
Indy opened again with the skipper, unfortunately the latter somehow managed to find one of the 6 fielders and was out for a duck, this brought Clark and Indy together and the pair batted sensibly. Indy was punishing any poor delivery and Clark rotated the strike to great effect.
When Clark was out Indy upped the scoring rate and was taking the game away from the opposition, however wickets kept tumbling with Aaron and Calum soon back in the band stand!
When Indy was eventually out with the total on 145 he had scored a brilliant 89, but would it be a match winning knock?
A further 65 runs were needed and when Natesh went cheaply it left Danyal and Nathan together at the crease with 50 runs required.
However any nerves or doubts were quickly swept aside, as Danyal playing some wonderful shots was ably supported by Nathan. The pair overhauled the required runs with over 7 over’s to spare. Danyal even had time for a couple of trade mark 6’s in his 36 not out. Nathan finished on 14 not out and was facing when the pair picked up a leg bye to seal our second successive league victory.
