Weekend Preview - 15th June

Tyler Buchan14 Jun 2013 - 13:35

3 big league games this weekend for 1s, 2s and 3s. 4s have a first round tie in the Reid Cup

Aberdeenshire travel to Heriots tomorrow as 4th plays 5th in the Eastern Premier League. Aberdeenshire make one change, with the injured Matthew Hays being replaced by Fraser Proud off the back of some impressive recent displays in the 2nd XI. Matthew suffered a shattered pinky finger while attempting a catch off the bowling of Harsha Cooray last weekend. Everyone at the club is wishing Matthew a speedy recover and are hopeful he can take the field again for the Dons before he leaves these shores and starts a new life in Houston.

The 2nd XI finally have a Saturday home game to look forward too as they take on Perth Doo'cot in a top of the table clash in the Strathmore Union. The Mannofield Men have won 5 from 5 this season as do their visitors so something has to give. The 2s welcome back Indy & Mark Assiter from last weekends sides.

The 3rd XI took outright lead in Grade 1 and are currently enjoying their best season in decades in the Grades. They are once again on their travels as they head to Inverurie who lie in 6th position with 2 victories and 2 draws to their name.

The 4th team have a Reid Cup match against Portcullis at Sheddocksley to look forward too after last weekends draw made it three weeks undefeated for the young side.
