Mannofield won the toss and decided to bat first on a hot and sunny afternoon at Harlaw. Hirupam Doley and Andy Hastie were making their debuts for the home side.
Manno were off to a good start with both openers looking in good shape until the skipper was surprised by a straight one.
Indy and Clarke took up the mantle and pushed the score along at a healthy rate. Indy especially punishing anything loose.
Indy raced to his fifty with a dismissive 6 over mid wicket and it was not long before another sumptuous 6 brought up his ton.
With less than half the overs bowled it looked like a big score was in the offing.
Indy was next to go for a magnificent 127, an innings filled with magnificent shots all around the ground.
Rutwik was next in and continued the healthy scoring rate before running himself out for 15. Clark was batting sensibly and brought up his run a ball half century with yet another boundary, he fell shortly after for 56 well crafted runs.
Hiru, Andy, Greg and Nathan all contributed to the run fest and a grand total of 322 was posted from the allotted 45 overs.
In reply Crescent got off to the worst possible start when Nathan found the outside edge and (Mr cricket) Clarke took a wonderful catch at second slip first ball of the crescent innings. Another followed 6th ball of the innings to leave them 2 down after 1 over and a mountain to climb.
A mountain that became much trickier with the introduction of Greg who with a touch of luck and a lot of skill produced a wonderful spell of spin bowling, claiming 5 victims for 26 runs. Greg's 5 wicket haul also contained a run out involving who else but Mr cricket and Danyal.
Nathan's second spell took care of the last 2 wickets to leave him with his first 4 wicket haul.
Special mention to Ken and Richard who both fielded magnificently all day
Mannofield win by 183 runs!
